| Flight of Fancy was inspired by a river trip down the Chobe in Botswana July 1999.This African White fronted Bee Eater was just one of many residents on the river that day. White fronted Bee Eaters in general, are very social birds. They nest in dug out burrows along riverbanks or dirt cliffs. Their nests are much like our bank swallows. The White fronted is about the size of a Robin and feeds on a variety of insects. There are many species of Bee Eaters in Africa. All though they differ in size. | ||||
