Razorbill Auks do not look like they are of this world.  I think they might have been the inspiration for some of the soldiers in the movie "Star Wars."  An amazing feature of the Auk is the incredible yellow that is revealed when the bill is opened for displaying.  "Razor's Edge" was a painting done after visiting the intriguing bird colonies at Machias Seal Island off the coast of Main.
